  1. I think Laurence was making a point not about Ava, but the type of women Ava represents and their attitudes toward men. Clearly, Ava is a very beautiful woman and I think this was behind the point, that no matter how sexy women are, men will not want relationships with women who treat them like crap. The problem is this message is lost on most people who see it as a personal attack and Ava and enemies of GB News will happily use this. Really, Laurence should have realised this would be the outcome and made his point in a better way.

  4.  @annaholley8913  The point is the UK was able to do trade all around the world long ago when the logistical practicalities were much less efficient than today. The cost of bringing goods to the UK from China is cheaper than from parts of the EU to UK - this is part of the reason goods made in China are so affordable compared to EU made goods. If you think 17.4 million UK voters voted leave to somehow reestablish the British Empire - you must be very silly. In fact, the only thing in this debate that resembles an 'empire' is the 27 centrally controlled countries of the EU.

  11. The advantages of having our monarchy are it's not political, the king or queen doesn't choose their position and monarchs are long lasting. If we had a series of political heads of state, half the people would always feel unrepresented.

  13. It's complicated - I agree with both sides here. AB must be entirely innocent of intent, and this means he is a victim, but a person was shot dead with no justifiable excuse. What happens, is the court will decide what level of carelessness (if any) contributed to the death, who (if anyone) is responsible and what punishment (if any) is appropriate. There have been cases where people have been found guilty of unintentionally killing a family member and the court has ruled the result of the crime is more than enough punishment. Personally, I think this should be dealt with in the same way, as it would had anyone been handling a gun. Actors cannot expect to be treated differently, because they are famous, paid millions and are only pretending, because the gun and the bullet are clearly the same.

  17.  @annaholley8913  Yes, but the point I am making is modern container ships are a very cost effective way of moving goods around the globe. They might take a couple of weeks to arrive but, in practice this is not a hold-up because goods are ordered in advance to replenish stock. The UK having an empire is old news. I think it was mostly a good thing at the time, encouraging, education, medicine, employment, wealth, trade, infrastructure, law, justice, democracy - but we have all modernised and these days we no longer do that sort of thing.

We are not having another vote - the 'national rejoin march' was a geriatric laughing stock! What is it about 'Brexit has happened' are you not getting? I couldn't give a S#!T about explaining 'supply chains' to you (I already addressed that issue - you are not receptive to commonsense normality) The UK is working with minimal 'Brexit' issues and this will improve in time. Why don't you get some cardboard and sticks and some blue and gold paint and go bother someone else?
