  1. They're all in it together. If they elect a light blue leader they lose voters to Reform, If they elect a dark blue leader they hope to take voters from Reform. The long-term objective is preventing pro-UK independence people getting into parliament. If the Tories win at the next GE they can forget all the dark blue stuff they promised the voters. Probably WEF/Brussels directing strategy...
