@seanw1962 If being in the EU had no effect - what was the point of membership?

The entire 're-join movement' is comprised of a few YouTube channels and Eddie Izzard - when do you suppose anybody will be 'voting again'?

How did we 'get better off' when before we were joined to the EU, a single unskilled UK wage could keep a family (before there were working tax credits) and buy a home?

@philf5043 Not to mention 'the suitcases full of cash found under MEP's beds'...

@briangilligan6270 I think it will be easy to change the mind of most 2016 Remain voter, because they were coerced by project fear.

@franklingoodwin UK decimalisation happened in 1971, twenty two years before the UK people were joined to the EU and there was high inflation in the UK before the UK people were joined the EU. This does not alter the fact that, before the UK people were joined to the EU, a single unskilled UK wage (before in-work benefits were introduced) could keep a family and buy a home. So, I ask the question: 'In what way did being in the EU make us better off?'

@himoffthequakeroatbox4320 Typical 'remoaner invention and lies' - there was no 'confirmatory vote' in 1979 for the UK to join the EU - the UK was joined to the EU in 1993, as a direct consequence of the 1992 Maastricht Treaty coming into effect. There was no 'UK referendum' on the UK joining the EU - it was an undemocratic imposition on the UK people. Remoaners claim Leave voters are 'old type people' - well how many more 'old type people' would have been alive in 1992?

@mogznwaz You must laugh yourself to sleep thinking about your great victory over foolish Brexiteers like me...

These polls about 'Brexit regret' are made up propaganda designed to give ammunition to propagandist activists and make people change their minds. If we had a re-join referendum in six weeks - the re-join side would be lucky to get 30%. There are at least ten very strong 'bus-sized' reasons to stay out and all the remoaners have is 'Our 'experts' say the economy would be better' ... What a joke!
