  1. When we use the term 'Brexit' we inevitably refer to a situation created by a parliament made up of lifelong pro-EU political activists. In 2016, the Conservatives, Labour, Lib Dems, SNP all supported the UK being subsumed into an increasingly federal Europe. Today, if parliament was allowed a (no referendum) free vote on joining the EU, it's likely 80% of MPs would vote to surrender the people's sovereignty to a foreign parliament in which the UK people would have 10% representation. The 2024 'National Rejoin March' attracted around 500 people.
