  1. I don't think 'the house' can remove him as MP unless he gets a prison sentence of more than 1 year. The maximum sentence for the offence (actual bodily harm) is 5 years. So, if he gets 1 year or less he can remain (if he chooses) as an MP until he gets voted out by the constituents at a general election..
