  1. By 'handled like a pro' I assume you mean by a professional who is 'paid' for a profession. It is therefore highly disingenuous to suggest that his opponent's arguments are diminished, simply because he might have been paid to make them. This sort of hypocrisy is all too common with Conservative Party supporters and I see your comment has a lot of likes.

You 'get real' It's a fact that Corbyn's Labour got 1.5 million more votes than Cameron's Tories and it's a fact that a single unskilled wage could keep a family (and even buy a house) in the 1970s. The Conservative Party has been a catastrophe for British people: EU membership, privatisation of national assets, de-industrialisation, chronic mass unemployment, mass immigration... All things the British people did not ask for and have brought about a much lower standard of living.

  3. It's looking increasingly like those in control are intending to keep the UK tethered to the EU, so as to easily return to full membership at a future date. It seems the plan is to make leaving the EU appear impossible and then to go back to the people saying 'we tried our best to deliver, but the cost was too high and we are now effectively in the EU only with no say'... Our problem is we've allowed our political class to become overrun with people more loyal to the EU than to the UK.

  4. A lot of Tory voters only voted Remain, because it was Tory Party policy and a lot of Labour voters only voted Remain, because it was Labour Party policy. There cannot be another 'Project Fear' and the British public are not going to go crawling back to the EU and ask for continued membership. The politicians understand fully well that another referendum on UK/EU membership would result in a huge vote to leave. Lib Dems understand this too, but are vote baiting - just like they did on student fees.

  9. + Kandy Kandy Stop talking rubbish! When I left school a 'job' meant going to a place of work for 40 hours a week for life and getting a few hours overtime each week. Today, a 'job' can mean 2 hours in a week with no guarantee of any hours the following week... Working class people have realised there was never any light at the end of Thatcher's tunnel for them. Of course there are more people now working in the UK - Since I was born the population has increased by 10 million.

  12. There are disciplinary procedures to follow. A person being investigated requires time to get professional advice and gather evidence. If this was to end up in dismissal, there could be a tribunal claim and even if the misconduct warranted dismissal, if correct procedures were not followed a court will rule the dismissal was unfair and likely award compensation.

Employers often seek young, strong, healthy workers, as these will be more productive. The EU has provided UK employers with an anomalous supply of young, strong, healthy workers and this has had a 'knock on effect' throughout the UK workforce, the upshot being that, less young, less strong, less healthy UK citizens find it impossible to compete for low skill jobs. So, your 'proof' that young, strong, healthy Eastern Europeans working in the UK somehow demonstrates that, UK unemployed are 'idle', is entirely erroneous.

Use Google Translate to change 'jobs in United Kingdom' into Polish and put that into Google and cut&paste what you find back into Google Translate. You will discover that UK unskilled jobs are not even advertised in the UK.

One person may believe the best way to improve service to the public is to have the utilities owned and run by private individuals, another person may believe the public would benefit if the utilities were in public ownership. So we have the debate and those that get most votes are considered to be the majority and the majority gets its way... Of course more people voted against the privatisation of utilities, but that's another story.

  32.  @raphaelsainte-claire4861  In the 2015 GE, 3.9 million votes got 1 seat - this vote was dismissed by the political establishment, as being 'out-of-touch' - not worthy of parliamentary representation. In 2016, that same political mindset reflected the 'will of the UK people' and brought about radical political change. If at the next GE, 5 million votes got zero parliamentary representation, it would cast serious doubt on the UK's democratic system.

I was referring to the statement: "he's right to say he thinks" when the subject is a prediction... irrespective of whether the prediction is proved have been accurate, "he's right to say he thinks it" (unless he's lying). I'm sure he meant to say: 'I think he's right when he says' as this would have made sense as opposed to nonsense.

Well, that should put an end to it because the UK Government Leaflet on the referendum promised "We will not join the euro" and I don't remember a single UK citizen complain about that statement, so presumably no one in the UK wants to give up the pound and now no one in the UK should want the UK to join the EU.

  45. Probably the the only way to achieve PR would be a campaign to use council elections to spoil ballots with 'I WILL VOTE WHEN MY VOTE COUNTS'. Retuning officers would have to announce the number of spoiled ballots and 10% spoiled ballots would break the FPTP system.
