  1. We didn't get here because we left the EU - there is an energy crisis in Germany too. This has taken a while. I remember life in the UK before EEC/EU. A single unskilled wage could keep a family and buy a home. After a few decades of 'Europe' both parents are forced to work, claim 'in work' benefits from the state to feed and clothe their children and cannot buy a home.

  5. This party-political funeral is a misuse of office by the Conservative party. Churchill was honoured with a state funeral because he had led the non-party-political national government and a united British people during the war years. Thatcher is no Churchill. She set about destroying what the British people had built after winning the war against tyranny and she deliberately divided the British nation.
