  1.  @isaacdalziel5772  I suppose anything is possible, but I think they built their system too well. There is no way daylight can get into this closed low-tech totalitarian society of hate and domination. It is a tragedy, yes, the Islamic civilization was one of the really great ones. You can see it in the art and the architecture and the literature, and before that the first cities of humanity were along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. We owe so much to this civilization, but it is gone.

  2. Who has a democracy? Surely not the US. For Arabs who complain they sure love to move out of their messed up countries and come to the West though. This is a sad story. Our leaders are failing us ... but it has little to do with democracy ... probably more to do with the last of it, and the lack of representation of the people all over the world.

Maybe instead of the goal of society being one super-rich guy at the top, we should all be about trying to bring everyone up to a given sustainable level, and take care of people, and educate them and socialize them to get along. Humans! we are failing and killing the planet ... there is no doubt. We need to do better, and we need to do better while we are doing about the worse we ever have.
