In California you have to give people 3 months notice if you are going to lay them off. Usually that means companies "fire" them and pretend to be generous by giving them a few months severance ... but that is only true beause of REGULATION and worker protections ... the little that we have in California, and almost nothing in the rest of the country.

If Twitter was about to die .... why did Elon Musk bid/pay so much for it? The debt Musk is talking about is his personal debt, that Twitter itself did not have before he bought it. Did it only get into so much debt because Musk got himself into so much debt? I just don't trust anything this scam artist says, but is it possible? If as Musk says the whole ship sinks .... someone else would buy Twitter and rescue it at a sensible price. It just seems like the whole problem was Musk ... and it is the original Twitter owners who screwed over Twitter because of their greed to get that overly high price of $40 billion that Musk was forced to take.
