  1. You're kinda cute ... but FTL travel is not going to be possible for any number of reasons. Thank God for the speed of light, otherwise there will end up being a vast tyrannical multi--galactic empire. But, even if we could go very substantially faster than we can now, where would be go? As we go faster our mass increases, but so does the mass of whatever else is out there - meaning that the faster we go the more destructive would be a collision with even the smallest of dust particles.
