  1. What the hell does Oliver Stone think now ... the proof has been out there about what Russia has been doing. I used to deny it or question it and give Russia the benefit of the doubt ... but reading a lot of books on this hacking and fake-news shows that it is mostly Russia - not America. 100 journalists murdered, and killing defected Russians in other countries - why does Stone still defend Russia. I can understand not wanting to provoke war, but the same people are in power in Russia now as were in the Cold War. I don't like it, but the answer seems to be standing up to Russia.

  2.  @dankokovacevic  I hear the frustration and confusion in that post, but what is your point? I re-wrote my original post since it hardly made sense to be when I re-read it. I have followed Oliver Stone's books and documentaries, and found his Russian opinions, basically coherent and sensible, but Russia is very active in trying to bring down or sew discord in the West. I am not sure that is all about defensive measures. Russia would be a great ally to Europe and West if they would open up, or conversely if they would move politically towards real socialism and be a model country for their people. What keeps Russia from doing that has been the combination of powerful rich elites and attacks from outside. Now I try to listen more about Russia, because what we have been told in the USA is not right, but what Russia is saying is not right either.

  3. Reagan lied and exaggerated about Star Wars and bankrupted the USA. I think Putin's declaration about these new weapons are not ready just as Reagan's Star Wars was not. Russia did not "meddle" in our election ... they interfered and manipulated them, as well as are encroaching into the government with laundered money and bribes.
