It's called rephrasing and reflecting to do a reality check on the what the other person is saying. I guess you are against that then? What's the problem with it?

@mistergormsby It's the fallacy called Reductio Ad Absurdem, or implying a false argument. I think Pakman is wrong, but he very rarely argues in bad faith. But looking at these guys, this is a hit piece with nasty video snipes.

@kriskquinn.68 You're full of it, so stop wasting my time. I take one post to tell you why. When you watch this video that are many insults and childish comments and video snips in it. That is far more bad faith the Pakman ever has done that I have ever seen. I don't watch Sam Seder, but the fact that you do this dumping of people on the Left together calling them bad faith merely shows your own. The part of Pakman that I watched, I disagreed with him, but I would not call it bad faith, I'd just call it being wrong. These guys on the other hand I have watched some of their videos and life, but they have to always put in an edge of exaggerated sexism and anti-wokism to appeal to their main audience with his in fact Right-wing ... which is what they are complaining about Pakman describing them as. OK, that's what I have to say, and I've heard your comments. I'm OK with leaving it at that - this video does not deserve that much time or effort.

To me, you sound as ignorant and naive as a queer for Palestine. Go listen to the Ukraine debate with KK and Peter Hitchens from maybe a year ago? The thing with people like you is that you would should wait until you actually know something to comment or take a stand, and not be a hypocrite telling people to not make assumptions which is what you are doing to be a brown-noser to this channel.

@jbw3118 What is it you imagine you see? I think you see a words that set you off robotically, and you respond to ratchet up hostility. That's why its so easy to automate right-wing bots.

I like and agree with much that TriggerNometry ( dumb name ) says and does, but I do find it in general Right-wing. If it is not Right-wing it is doing what a lot of channels do, or seems to me they do - which is to pander to the Right-wing viewers to expand their listenership. I occasionally get fed up with TN ... but I still tune in and monitor it because some of the stuff they do - like tell the truth about Islam - as very important. I did not catch the discussion with Pakman, but I usually find DP as solidly Left wing, and very clear and articulate in his thoughts and beliefs - clear about his biases, which I don't see as strongly in TN. Anyway, I'll look up the interview with interest and see what's what. But I do find these attacks to be not very balanced, and many of the of the comments here of the Right-wing gang rumble pile on nature.

Let me say this. I listen to both of you podcasts. What I notice at least here and now, is that your podcast as far down the list as I can go is full of nasty comments that 1000% agree with you. I've have to go look at Pakman's video, but in general I don't think any podcast with ZERO dissenting or contrarian comments in it is good faith. That's maybe just me, or maybe you deleted dissenting comments here and will delete my comment, even though i am trying to point out things any objective person would take notice of. In general I try to not make comments to just agree with some podcast or personality. Usually Right or Left my comments are contrarian because I don't see much point in commenting where there are mostly comments agreeing with me. I'd thumbs-up a comment I agreed with more than I would make the same comment elsewhere. If you want discussion you need to challenge or clarify or say something useful or provoactive of deeper discussion. I am really not impressed with your doing things like ridiculing Pakman for the time he takes in his own video to cue up another video ... what is that about?

Right-wing is a smear? If Pakman called you Right-wing, what was his rationale to justify that? Why did he say that? You are smearing him because you say he called you Right-wing in error, or that Right-wing is a smear? Huh? 1:30 - and WTF is this? Seriously ... please explain why you did not just go to the clip, but had to make a desparaging sigh that on his own podcast in your opinion took to long to scrub to the point he wanted to show? Was that necessary, or was it necessary as a cue to a Right-Wing audience as to your emotional state and goading them to pile on - over what is less than nothing?

OH, I did watch the first 45 minutes of your debate with Pakman. I thought it was pretty good on both sides. I don't know why you are feuding? Is it because you see his comment that the followup video he described you guys as being Right-Wing? I would be offended these days if anyone called me either of Right or Left wing - because the extremes are off the wall these days, and I can't stand either extreme. I think was I was looking for is Pakman's thoughts on the Israel-Hamas thing where I wanted to find out if DP had the sickening popular view that is ascribed to the Left-Wing or being Pro-Palestinian, which personally revolts me. I am not sure I found it. Gonna go back and listen to your first discussion over again.
