  1. Because anyone who thinks "tweaking" Social Security is necessary or desirable is misinformed. Social Security has an interval where it will be pulling in money instead of giving money to the budget as it is today. Why drive policy out of ignorance. Raise taxes, fix the problem, do not reward Republicans for engineering this whole thing over 30 years to get rid of social programs.
