But there is nothing new here, just the face, instead of some old SOB who wants to force his cheap nuclear reactor on us, it's his kid ... big whoop!

This punk is going to cause a lot of problems in his arrogant life - unless he starts to develop some wisdom instead of just doing stuff because he can do it and he gets "gee whiz's" from those who think he's Professor Poindexter. This is a new marketing strategy for nuclear and this kid is probably ignorantly fronting it. Putting the thing underground is totally a mess if something goes wrong. Also Fukushima was not about safety it was about JUDGEMENT, something this kid needs to develop.

don't get baffled with BS ... he's just throwing around terms that other people invented that actually are not any new or even a great idea.

They can make a fusion reactor, that just means a place where atoms fuse together in a reaction. they just cannot make it emit more energy than it takes in for long reliable stretches to generate power reliably and safely yet.

The problem is that we ... "we" need to use nuclear power. I'm not against nuclear power, I am against the people who own it and manage it right now, they have proven to be liars, devious, opaque, criminal, ... all these SOBs who are in the energy industry just seem to not care about what their technology does ... even if it can be cheaply modified to be safe ... in short they are not to be trusted ... but we need a nuclear option for energy.

Oh, you can just drain the reactor to a tank underneath the reactor that has neutron absorbers under it ... WHERE NO ONE CAN GET AT IT - JUST LIKE FUKUSHIMA WHEN THERE WAS A PROBLEM - only this is worse because if something unpredictable happens you have to dig down underground to get to it to see it and fix it.

Maybe a straightjacket would be more stylish.
