  1. Yes ... Gates was in the right place at the right time with the right experience to realize the value of the OS and had the free time to mess with it and productize it. That's it. The moneymaking he got from that allowed his incompetence to last for decades while he forced everyone to use this crap OS and lowered the bar for everyone else. It's called monopoly, and I don't trust his motives of competence about anything - especially teaching.

  3. Gates is such a moron ... here he wants us to listen to him about teachers even though he is a college dropout. When you focus only on customer feedback you get into the lying business. I know nurses who are driven crazy because they have to please their customers who haven't a clue as to what they need or what is good for them. Some things you need to be clever about measuring, and Gates just has some agenda about this ... why is he talking about teaching?
