There is nothing wrong with wanting to have a connected, dare I say "globalist" world, but the Devil is in the details. • How fair is to open all the jobs in the world to the 3rd world desperate for survival if you cut out the majority of the Western population from them and force them to work for 3rd work wages? • How possible is it to have people who are in the midst of tribal wars and live "socially" in the distant, centuries ago, past, and inject them into the societies of the West, where they are in constant contact with the same people above who have been jettisoned as parts of their countries and cultures to be low-wage workers. That is like a dystopian strategy to destroy demcracy and the West and have us all living at the level of insane Jihadis or tribal soldiers. This guy is awful ... I cannot stand Haidt because he ignores what are the real issue and tries to sound impartial. He is not.

  6. Cannot stand this right-wing Haidt-er. He tries to sound fair and non-partison. What is not a threat to the nation of extreme Trump supporters. Told to go and bring guns to polling places to make sure they vote if fair? This is a very common tactic of the Right; start out with a nice tone of voice and phrase, express a cooperative attitude ... like George W. Bush talked about being a Compassionate Conservative. Bringing up John Lennon ... when the Right wanted to deport Lennon when he came to the US. The Right is dislocated from people because to win they must use science and technology, analyze, the use of think tanks and "deconstructing: our system to find its weaknesses and exploit them. They will use science to manipulate the political system, but they do not want to teach it or be limited by it when it comes to Global Warming, Toxic Health Effects or Freedom of Speech and diversity of Media. I simply cannot abide the Right, because it is not a valid group, it is a small well-organized plutocratic elite minority using their wealth and power to manipulate others any way they can. Look at how they refuse to vote on Obama's Supreme Court Nominee, and vow to continue that should Hillary Clinton get elected. Jonathan Haidt ... are you crazy or just a total right-wing warrior?

  9. I think you need to listen closer, and maybe read some of Haidt's books or at least the reviews of his books on Amazon.
