I can't say that this guy is right or wrong, or how he really does it, if it is helpful or whatever to the victim, I just don't like him for some reason. He looks like a bum, his appearance and demeanor oozes that he doesn't care, and maybe that's a negative judgement on him, but I hope that this kind of guy is nowhere around me when I have to go. Maybe he does not want to lie or put a lot of energy into his job because he is not really suited for this job and doesn't want to have to care or expend the energy? I realize he has the right to be who he is, and I don't hate him or anything, I just do not like his energy, there is something that does not hit me right about this.

k0smon This might be fine for one man to realize for himself, but I think there are cases where the human mind will die from believing bad news. I am sure he is right in some cases and perhaps comforting to allow someone not to fight or try to change reality and accept what happened. It would be a horrible job to have in my opinion and I am not sure what I would do, or being in a situation of dying I'm not sure what I would want to hear either. I suspect in many of the cases where he says no you are not going to live, that the patient/victim senses that already. I think it would be more sensible to say relax, be calm, we are doing everything we can and not render opinions. It also might be that the mind in not wanting to accept death would question what he has said and so spend the last minutes of their life in conflict about what this guy has told them and if he is right or wrong.

k0smon >> He does this when he absolutely knows the patient cannot continue to live. Is he a fortune teller ... is he a doctor? The point is that maybe dealing with death like this is not a good thing or a valuable thing for a person to do and may not give them the best insights. For example, the insights a slaughterer might have slaughtering animals all day for years. Maybe it's not good for people to mentally be in that space.

Shreya Malhotra So, you think by looking at these few second of a post you can fairly judge my life, but it is unreasonable of me to judge what this person is saying by his appearance, presentation and logic? Interesting. Now do you see what a schmuck you are? I think you are trying to say you disagree with me, but are too unintelligent and lazy to figure out why or put it into words. Come back when you grow up and learn how to be accurate and civil.
