Yes we have, and now we are coming to the idea that maybe Russia who has a lot more operatives in the US than the US has operatives in Russia has been working the US for a while now too. This is getting dangerous.

I'd rather have Russia "trying" to interfere with our election than having billionaires taking our system over from the inside by money and corruption - and the GOP extreme billionaire elites have been doing a great job of killing all the aspects of democracy through the right-wing think tanks posing as charities for tax exempt status, lobbying, citizen's united ... and lots of others. It is fairly absurd to call what we have democracy any longer because it doesn't represent the people. The vast majoroty of Americans want unviersal health care, free or at least affordable education, fair wages, and what they get is a little more enslaved and a lot more ripped off every year. The Russians are the least of our worries, at least for now. The Americans that think like the Russians are a lot closer and more powerful.

I agree with that assessment, but where does "Princeton" say that?

This is a BS vanity video for America. Russia does not hate democracy per se, the hate the US and for the same sometimes justified reason many other countries do as well - because we cause them trouble. Until recently Americans have had no idea that Russia even operates in the US. Now we are told Russia interferes in our elections, but there is not much proof offered at a time when the trust in American intelligence agencies is at an all time low. Russia could have been doing a lot in the last 30-40 years and we would have no idea. There are a heck of a lot more Russians in America than there are Americans in Russia. Russians are smart and on a budget. unlike the US who bloats our military budget and thinks the fat makes us stronger, Russians have to mind every ruble. There is a lot of thought that has gone into the Russian hacking, assuming it is Russia. I think it just as likely that the Russians are taking the fall for extreme-right-wing Americans who are trying to pull a coup d-etat on the current government to bring about a fascist state, to which Russia may have different reactions to. But Russia has looked at and desconstructed the systems of the West, and we could learn a lot from their assessments of our weaknesses, but it is not necessarily because they hate democracy, because who says America has democracy anyway?
