  1. NO ... technology does not solve problems anymore than it solves war ... it just makes it easier for one and then both sides to kill people and destroy things. Not that technology is bad, but it's effect is to make things move faster, to change things, and the human brain alone cannot deal with all that change, let alone the institutions of masses of people. Back in the 1700's they had time to sit and think about human freedom ... anyone bother about that any more ? There's not enough time.
