The problem is that "intelligence" its self is not a cognitive task, or it is THE cognitive task that organizes and manages and prioritizes and stages cognitive tasks. But it has to have a motive ... and that motive only comes from people - so the main danger of AI is as these systems get more powerful and in the hands of more people their criminal greed and stupidity will threaten all of us. So, how do you regulate the people who are far more powerful than the government and the regulators?
