  1. It's not just their crime rate - it is there whole attitude about society. They look to advance community - not isolate people for profit like we do in the US. I grew up in the 70's and I literally hate the direction US society has taken as everything has gotten to be about class differences and money - and getting it any way possible - including crime. Everyone loved the Godfather movies, but I hated them because they were all about crime families.

  2. No country is perfect, but I really admire Japan and a lot of the developed Western world for seeing their countries as a society, a community, but especially Japan - it is so civic oriented. We could use a lot more of that in America.

The cost of the Trump Presidency has been enormous ... financially, socially, militarily ... this man is a sick toxic criminal individual and the people that voted for him and protect him - even from legitimate criticisms - are just like the Nazi party in Germany pre-WWII.  Why else did Hitler get to stick around and rise to power instead of being shoved back in a prison cell like the lunatic he was.  American terrorism is Trump and his supporters, and to close your eyes about that and think of the Constitution is not helping anything.

Dogwhistle ....yes, dogwhistling works in America these days because we have created a country of dogs.  The rotten kind of human dogs ... not the great animals that are our pets.  Dogs are better than Trump supporters, and they are smart enough not to run to Trump's whistling too,

  6. Bingo, I had to "walk the proverbial miles to get to school as a kid". Today, I look at my old neighborhoods where I lived and that would be impossible. Development in America is exclusively about money, profit and ripping people off.
