AWwww, Bloomberg might actually have to pay taxes, he might have to pay back some of the money this country gave him ... what a poor put upon billionaire ... how unfair. I think the wealth tax is a great idea. Republicans purposefully dump huge debt on the backs of the public so we cannot spend money on social programs, infrastructure, or anything but the military, and when we spend so much on the military it only makes sense to use it. Venezuela has no connection to the US at all ... NONE AT ALL. That's Bloombery talking down to America. If Bloomberg had been born in Venezuela he would not be where he is today ... it;s only fair he should have to pay to keep up the country that made him, and if he doesn't like it --- fuck off over to some other country some tax shelter island in the Caribean like the Grand Camens ... what a jerk!

Funny how Warren and Democrats asking the very top level earners and rich in America to pay a tax equal or more to the tax on poor and working people who cannot afford health care, education or in some cases to even eat every day. When did it become a punishment to ask rich people to pay taxes ... and since poor people pay proportionately more in taxes than the rich ... why do they get all the punishment? There is an estimated 30+ trillion dollars laundered through Mosseck-Fonseca in the Panama Papers .... enough to completely wipe out the American debt ... and that is why our country and infrastrusture sucks, and our people are sick and violent compared to the rest of the developed world. So, these assholes are afraid the Democrats are going to throw away the 2020 election? Isn't that what they want? What are they complaining about? All the stuff they are saying is nonsense and lies. They want to remove the opportunity for Americans to vote on Universal Health Care because they want to keep a gun to people's heads to extort all their money from them when they get sick. And most Americans are getting sick because of toxic air and water. They are getting sick because they are fed junk food which is very profitable and which is the only food they shown or they can buy in the stores around them. When Americans got educated in public schools in the 50;s and the 60's and even the 70's they turned liberal, they were taught civics, about their rights and what this country was supposed to be about ... and the Republicans cannot stand that, so they attack and tear down public schools.

Canada has a system for all its people like Medicare for all .... it is doing fine, spends less on health care and gets better results. The US has a bigger economy, and wastes money on health care and has worse results. FOX and the business class has been ripping off the poor, middle and working class Americans putting a gun to their heads and taking everything, and then saying everything they do is great. This is all lies. They also never explain the 90% tax rate is not 90% it is 70% and it is only on earnings over 100 million dollars. We hear about what geniuses American business people are, and yet they drive the country to bankruptcy, blow up the debt, kill the economy, and still have money to take over the media and turn Fox News' volume up to 11 to shout everyone else down. I think the wealth surcharge is a great idea. it is a way to claw-back money for the country that was not paid in taxes while the rich got tax breaks. Of course the stock market went up ... when 2 tillion dollars is given to rich people with nothing to do and no idea what to do with it, they dump it in the stock market, and bid prices up. that is not economic growth - YOU LYING ASSHOLES! Because after a while those same rich people extract their profits over time and leave all of the worker's investments at a loss. Real growth begets more growth ... it is mathematically exponential ... and it will naturally create more jobs and more opportunity and more money to buy more products .... what we have now is NOT ECONOMIC GROWTH, it is a rich-elite rigged economy.

@HH-ow7tz In the Monopoly game that is today's American economy, when one person has all the money, that person needs to pay all the taxes. It's the same thing now, only there are a few more than one winner, it is a couple thousand people who think that because they won the economic lottery, and looking at people like Trump, not honestly, they why in God's name would you want to them to not have to pay taxes as they do today. But just to mention, if you want more people to pay more taxes, then pay them more and do not drive the whole country into poverty so they need government programs to survive. This is not that hard to understand unless you are being deliberately dense and willfully stupid ... or of course dishonest.

France has the same demographic and economic issues every other country has to face, but it does so first with people in mind, not just billionaires. Have you ever been to France, or you just accept what you hear from FOX News? They basically have a living wage with social benefits. What would you do with people, let them die or starve?
