There is ZERO business need for private companies to know every aspect of our lives just in order to feed us ads ... so that is a lie. There is a reason they do this, and I think it is to eventually be able to sell that information keep people they do not like out of the labor force and to provide a political threat assessment on people and keep tabs on them to undermine their political agenda. It is no secret that the internet is flooded with fake right-wing trolls far in excess of their real number in society ... they function like virtual brown-shirts did in the Nazi regime did to intimidate and harass Jews and whip up the bullies, and then to know who to pay off. This is insidious and evil, worse than any threat from Russia is there even is a threat from Russia. We started our Military Industrial Empire after WWII based on a fake threat from Russia, and I think this very well could be the same kind of thing.
