Bernie has to tread carefully here.  The more left Lefties are very sensitive on this issue, ... sensitive and crazy on this issue ... and Bernie needs them to get elected.  But Bernie is awesome.  We have perpetual warfare in the Middle East anyway, there is perpetual warfare with radical Islam and the world.  Even Bernie cannot make that go away.

I think Bernie has to apply his Bernie genius on this ... this answer and his position is not really good.  I think he is going to need to come up with a better framing of the Middle Eastern issues, especially as a member of the Left and a Jew.  This is a touch situation and could be his downfall if the Republicans figure out how to exploit this.  That said, I think we know who he supports, so it should not be a problem.
