  2. We have always had a culture of violence. The difference today is that we have a culture of despair and contempt for anyone but the rich and powerful people. Growing up I used to feel like the country, the people, the government was on my side and there for me. I don't feel that anymore, and I am supposedly privileged white anglo-saxon college educated more or less successful. I feel horrible when I think about how others much feel in this farce of the country any more. After centuries of oppression and seeing the light of day, we are seeing the richest and powerful clpsing the door, kicking away the ladder and repudiating everything in American that was good and in our grasp. Like how Michelle Obama said she felt proud for the first time after the election of Barack ... Barack Obama turned out to be part of the problem, or certainly not a part of the solution. Still, I don't feel the problem is guns so much as it is money, power and these new classist tendencies everywhere.

  3. America today has a sick culture. Ignorance and violence are but a reaction to the neglect and hate that is rampant in our society from the undeserving people at the top that direct it downwards on everyone.
