that fake meat stuff has a lot of fat and salt in it for the most part, as especially does the vegan ice cream. hope that was a joke.

WRT the farting comment ... I think that is mostly temporay until your gut flora adapts, but even if not, plant based farts are not as totally disgusting as meat based farts. Most vegan farts might be loud and long but they have very little to no smell. Pretty funny though.

Ramen is really unhealthy. Way too huge a load of salt.

Of course Troy's cholesterol is going to drop, he said he ate 90% meat before.

Something not right ... both blood pressures went up a little. Maybe they were eating too much salt ... or fake meat.

@persimmonss What are you, the fart expert?

Oh, why'd you have to start out with quinoa? I can't stand the stuff. It's got an irritating texture that feels like you're chewing little fish eggs, and the taste is bland but vaguely chemical. This is a helpful video though, but I never cook so much like this ... so much to learn and do.

That is the thing I noticed when I started eating a lot more veggies and much less meat ... is that I did not really want to eat meat. I think we eat meat and junk food because that is what is around us, and convenience is the main factor in what we eat ... what is around and easy to get to when we are hungry.

The idea of a "vegan diet" and someone changing their diet for an experiment is kind of suspicious. There are gradations of diet in reality, but in media land there are all kinds of claims to get clicks that distort and add noise to the whole subject. Cutting down on animal products and processed foods ... in my opinion ... can be supported in fact as being more healthy than an animal based only, or processed food based only diet ... but I have not really heard anything undeniable that there is some significant improvement between a reasonable diet that includes reasonable levels of animal products and some amount of processed foods and these purist diets demand. The "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants." slogan makes the most sense to me.
