You mention AGI General Intelligence like it is an actual thing that we can even define. It ain't so, and in fact, it ain't happening ... at least any time soon ... like within 300 years or more. The problem with is that everything this Super AI has to learn is within some kind of context. It can't just know everything it has to figure out what it wants to or needs to know, and then set up how to learn then, and then pile through all the garbage just like all of us do, and there is less and less actually useful stuff available online now - because of the competitiveness between humans. But you also have to know what to look for and where to look. Until the end of humanity, which sadly seems like it might be fairly soon, human beings are by far the most vicious killer species on this planet that devote most of what little intelligence we have towards manipulating, cheating and killed each other. Humans are pretty disgusting creatures.

I am very pro-nuclear. I think it is the ONLY way to solve the problem of climate change. But, the only problem has always been the HUMAN BEINGS who make bad sometimes catastrophic design or operations decisions. In any case, we still have to move towards nuclear, but it just seems like human beings cannot get anything right. Good video.

One criticism though ... at around 12:00 you talk about Deep Isolation and say that "you dig a hole". I think you should have been more accurate and said "you drill a hole", miles deep. This is one of the areas I don't trust people on. How and where and how deep they drill these holes. The SOBs who usually make these decisions invariably cut corners or make stupid mistakes. The Deep Isolation concept seems good, but how much oversight will there be? And now every time I hear Deep *Isolation" being talked about it gets cheaper and less deep. When I first heard about it, it was 5 or more miles deep under massively stable rock formations. AND, initially they said the waste could be retrieved if there was problems. Now you are talking about 1000 feet. When they actually do this what will it be? A couple hundred feet under some bad neighborhoods where poor people live? This is why I don't trust these people. I think it needs to be done by the government for NON-PROFIT. And one other thing ... you say what is holding nuclear back is public acceptance ... but when has our government every listened to the public before? This is an excuse for the interests that want to derive maximal profits from fossil fuels before they allow a transition to nuclear - in my opinion.
