  1. And another thing is that the US is caught with its pants down vix energy - because we have failed to build nuclear power infrastructure. Odd that Ukraine has so much nuclear power ... I think it was 60% of its energy. instead of reporting on any of this stuff, we just hear story after story about how mean Russia is, and how Putin is such a dictator. On the other hand the average person's life in both Russia and China is getting better while the average American worker's life is becoming almost impossible for health case, housing, education, transportation, etc. I hear more support for BS from AA, than I do information about these supposed autocracies work. Then we hear in the US how immigration is such an issue for most Americans - and how Orban cut immigration. The result now since Palestine invaded Israel is that all these Muslims in Western countries, and our own young people/students are rioting because they don't understand a thing about what is really going on. Anti-Semitism and stabbings and crime and division is boiling over.

  4. Oh gee ... oligarchs control Orban's Hungary? Well, who the hell controls the nonsense media in the USA? They controlled it after 9-11, and it had nothing to do with Trump or the oligarchy supposedly. And we had Bush ... was he an oligarch? And Obama, was he an oligarch. And now or then we had Trump. Then for appearances sake we backpedalled to Biden. I was really interested in getting this book, and now I think it is just going to be another fluffy propaganda story vilifying our enemies - who I do not support. As my name suggests, I just would like to find the truth, or the reason the truth must be hidden from us - like in those oligarch countries?

  5. I am so interested in AA's book, but when I hear stuff like Hungary is taking orders from Donald Trump when he is out of power .... it really makes me skeptical. I am sure there is some kind of massive political machine somewhere in some way, but I don't think Donald Trump is at the head of it. I could be wrong, but all this stuff begs for conspiracy theories because there is not enough information to really base any world view on. I read a lot of Ukraine, and how the US couped the Ukrainian government and drive the President out of the country. Then there was shelling and war in the Donbas for 8 years, and here we are calling it a great democracy, in which Zelensky got elected because he promised Ukrainians that he would keep the peace - and the shelling kept on - and in fact increased. That doesn't make sense. The US actions led directly to war, and if we don't accept that, it was true that Boris Johnson went to Turkey and broke up negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. I think a book as she writes ought to keep free of debateable history and focus on what we know about the mechanics of how the world works and how this system stays in power. And if Michael Steele actually believes this stuff ... how is he so involved in these systems? Especially the Republicans. A main point here seems to be to make democracy neutered by keeping people insulated from reality so that we can push around Russia and China. That may be necessary, but why is there no attempt to incentivize or convince Americans to support a national of global project to do this ... and why are we are involved in the UN when it is obviously totally corrupt? I want to know how and where are all these organizations run, and who works for them, and if they exist, how do they keep it under wraps? How is no one spoken out. It makes the whole of humanity as individuals irrelevant.

  6. Once things move towards war - an involved country is obligated to propgandize or at least confuse their people to support it. Putin said a lot of things before the war going back years, and then we had European leaders later saying they signed the Budapest Agreement with no intention of honoring it. They were moving to and covertly declaring war against Russia at that time. We couped the Ukrainian government. Trump is the one who first sent weapons to Ukaine, and to goad the Russians shelling from Ukraine to the Donbas was monotonically increasing day by day until something had to happen. And why was Russia even interested in the Donbas? Because they knew the US wanted to push war to take Crimea away from Russia, which had made the mistake in the 50's or giving Crimea to Ukraine. Just to be fair, I don't see why ( My government surely did not tell me, unless I am to believe that we were against the evil Russians? ) the US had to do that? Yanukovych was trying to place Ukraine as a neutral trading partner with Russia - and the US needed to stop that. We, the US, also needed to cut Russia off from getting revenue from gas through the pipelines - so SOMEONE, probably us, or charged by us, blew the pipelines. That pushed Russia toward China and forced a path of war or at least non-cooperation with Russia and China both. We know that Russia was not militarized to go to war, and China is never going to attack Taiwan because they have too much business there. Then, surprise, after the Covid pandemic, the US economy comes out the strongest in the world. OK, great, but it really did not help the working Americans, who don't seem to count. Then this led to the forming of the new Axis of Evil, Russia, China, and Iran, and North Korea even - right a time when the world is burning up and flooding from Climate change. Who plans this stuff, and who gets to weight in. This is not just about autocracy - and when you look at democracy in the US, we are going that way too, and may have been there since at least 2000 when the Supreme Court appointed Bush President.

AND - this is supposed to be social media, a marketplace of ideas and discussion - and then when you go to 99% of YouTube pages all you get is vapid one-liners that are meant to provoke arguments and drive people away. I find that on most of the pages I comment on my comments are the longest ( not too long I hope ) and I very rarely even get an intelligent answer agree or disagree. And you talk about autocracies that cut the people out???? How dare you!
