  1. Most counties are great, most people are great ... until a corrupt government drags them down. Chinese are very resourceful and clever, I just hope they do not go through a big imperialist phase and that someday they will return Tibet, Taiwan, Mongolia, etc to their rightful inhabitants.

The US has been blindly going about increasing its insane unregulated capitalist philosophy and has economica hoolowed out the country and made life almost impossible for Americans, while China sacrifices a little political freedom to provide their people an increasing living standard and build up physical and human infrastructure ... so now the US realizes they are behind and unable to catch up and it has driven us crazy. No American knows what to do because there is almost nothing to do but resort to war - a war that will hurt everyone on the planet.

They say the Democrats want to filter what is said on the internet, but all of the main internet commons where people can express themselves are both useless, but they also costs money which goes straight into the coffers of the very people who filter them - like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, etc. They can kick me off YouTube any time by claiming that I violated their terms of service - but they never have to show you where or what the violation was, and you have no recourse so you are silenced completely. How does this make American great I ask?

The rest of the world will be getting a great deal on Chinese goods with the US out of the market and lots of excess supply, while Americans will have to pay a lot more and probably have to deal with shortages. It seems like Trump wants to stomp all over the American middle class and below - just for the fun of it.

  8. The private sector is the problem with health insurance, and they will never reduce premiums of costs because it just goes against human nature. Health insurance is one of those things that the free market will not work with. There is a reason EVERY SINGLE DEVELOPED COUNTRY has universal single payer, it gets the job done. Why does everything in the United States have to be an almost genocidal ripoff of the poor and working classes ? There is a reason it is so hard to get interstate insurance competition, This has been suggested and discarded as too complicated because each state as a different regulatory structure, and there is too much legal complexity, not to mention how do you sue across state lines when you need to. Talk to Dr. Atul Gawande or read some of this books.

  9. Isn't $250,000 for a chunk of land off the grid in the middle of nowhere is a lot? Unless it has a really great location that at some point can be subdivided or is on the edge of a resort or national park ... that is a lot of money.

  16. I just look at the video of Kamala here, with her cringeworthy smiles and she just creeps me out. I'm a Democrat, and really think the Republicans are toxic, so I would vote for either of them, but I think Biden is a known quantity and people just dislike Kamala. I'd be concerned as to what she will do with the Israel situation too.

  22. 1. It's not going to happen. 2. There is no power on planet Earth to ajudicate or enforce it. 3. What is the case, and what is the desired out come? 4. My opinion is the world is global and the answer to questions like this are economic and political. Most of the problem are of political rights and economic opportunity. If every country had the same standards there would be no need to return anyone to anywhere ... and most people who no connection to one country and fractional connections to many countries - so the whole discussion impeaches its own credibility.

China is the last example of a country that should be telling other countries what to do under the barrel of a gun. Tibet and all other countries develop at their own pace, but what China is doing is pure expansionism and exploitation.

Right off the bat the question about the Judicial appointment shows the whole of the Republican party to be as disrespectful and uninterested in the Constitution and the rule of law - even though they are always blabbering about some corrupt version of it - as they are to Biden and the whole country by putting on a show like this with a leader like this. Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell blocked Obama's Merrick Garland appointment and all of those 300 judicial appointments that Trump tried to blame Joe Biden and Barack Obama for leaving open. The Garland nomination was 9 months before an election, and McConnell made his rule of no judicial appointments in the last year of an administration. Now we have Ginsberg's replacement almost simultaneous to the election and Republicans going ahead nominating Amy Coney Barret. It is basically lying to the country and just doing whatever they want to do, and that is anything but the rule of law.
