  1. The private sector is the problem with health insurance, and they will never reduce premiums of costs because it just goes against human nature. Health insurance is one of those things that the free market will not work with. There is a reason EVERY SINGLE DEVELOPED COUNTRY has universal single payer, it gets the job done. Why does everything in the United States have to be an almost genocidal ripoff of the poor and working classes ? There is a reason it is so hard to get interstate insurance competition, This has been suggested and discarded as too complicated because each state as a different regulatory structure, and there is too much legal complexity, not to mention how do you sue across state lines when you need to. Talk to Dr. Atul Gawande or read some of this books.
