  3. John Doe Gotta figure that Hillary is a great support person. She was good at First Lady, she was good as Senator, and Secretary of State. I don't think she would make a good executive, or at least an independent one, but she would be great as VP. Republicans would know if Bernie dies she'd be the President. She could also do many of the things she has claimed she wanted to do but did not have the power. I think it would work great, but I get where you're coming from. You have got to realize that anyone, even Bernie, is going to be somewhat cooperative with the corporations, you have to know what battles to fight, and ultimately it is the people that have to drive Bernie, or Hillary.

Because, have you ever heard the expression keep your friends close but your enemies closer ... despite the attacks on Hillary from the Right-wing, she would be a great conduit from President Bernie Sanders to the Right-Wingers.  Better than Joe Biden was for Obama.  She also has unification appeal to the Democrats, there are a lot of Democrats who if not like at least respect Hillary. and a lot of the country has had to give it her because she has really worked for her place in politics.  Then she has Bill.  I don't even see how you could ask that question unless you are just completely emotional and totally unpractical about politics and how our system works?  There is no downside to Hillary as VP, and there is to just about any other national figure, AND any other national figure would not likely have Hillary's name recognition and comfort level with the American people.  Think about it I think you will see.

I like Jill Stein, I saw her debate last election cycle on Democracy Now! and I even voted for her in the primary as a protest vote, since I am in CA and I knew Obama was going to win. I think any candidate as radical as Bernie should fear assassination, but temper his politics, how should I know, it's his decision.

Look at the world, most of it is more corrupt. more ignorant, more violent and much less educated than the US, and if we dropped everything to the lowest common denominator as the Koch globalists want, so they can run everything, we would have a feudalistic mess. We should continue what we do, that is policing the world, but with the US part of the rest of the West, not way in the back behind making fun of all the countries that do better for their people than we do. We are only this way because the corrupt countries have come here and taken over with money, because not dollars equal votes, not people.  It is sickening that the US has been corrupted in secret by the people that have benefited the most from the old system who now want to turn us into a aristocracy/oligarchy.

  12. Just on another level ... listen to Bernie, he says what he wants, he talks about the priorities and duties this country has. When you listen to a Republican, they have nothing to say.  They spout platitudes and slogans, but they will not say what they want this country to look like in 10-20-50 years. Why?  Becaue they know they are in the 1% and whatever happens they are guaranteed to stay there ... not because they worked hard or invented something good, but because they are politically connected.  That is the whole Republican corruption.

  23. All these videos talking about one thing out of connection to everything else - is what is useless. Our bodies were built to conserve energy and be active, all day, all night, when we need it, and to search for food. 1 mile = about 100 calories. You need to be active or water starts to pool in your body and you get edema. The reason we are so screwed up is that we have created super-rich food with little fiber ... of course we cannot exercise out of that, we are addicted at this point to this food. It is a sickness. If we ate less rich food with more fiber we would easily exercise our way out of it. This is a useless video.

We did not conquer Japan, and we made quite an effort so it did not look like that. Japan is autonomous. We do not take riches from these countries, we do not take slaves, as a matter of fact we give them access to our markets so they can export resources, agricultural products, industrial and manufactured goods and everyone benefits. We do this with China as well ... we have built China, but what have they done in return, and the fact that they have not done anything means to me that they intend to be an empire. Take a look at Tibet, or what they say about Taiwan ... do you care about that? I think the US is an empire only because we do not have a real word for what the US is, but we are not Rome, that is a lazy person's conclusion.

  26. These people have been taking too many drugs. Like they say "it is what it is." The only argument I have found compelling that we are in a simulation is the quietness of the universe. If we are mediocre, then our planet is mediocre, meaning that most planets would have some kind of life on them, arising at roughing the same times and being somewhat similar. Why is the universe so quiet them? If we were a simulation, then simulating worlds that are not in our direct contact would be a waste. This makes sense to me, but truth is stranger than fiction so there is probably some really great reason that we do not see many many other planets, worlds and forms of life.

I am not hearing a scientific or mathematical explanation for this.  First, there are the games that the game show uses to minimize its payout and to keep the game interesting for the audience ... and we do not know what they are?  Do they move the goats and cars around? I don't think it matters because the same probability applies to both answers left ... or, please explain why it does not. Think of an iterative process with N-doors ... you pick a door, and they show you a goat behind another door and give you a chance to change.  Each time they reveal a new goat you learn that you were more correct, that is that you did not pick THAT goat, and may have actually picked the car ... so, what is the statistic that tells us we should change?

OK, the host must reveal a goat, but that should never be a problem.  I still do not see how the contestant get any more information about the door he picked by one of the other doors being revealed ... because we already know one of them is a goat and it really doesn't tell us anything more of less about the either of the other doors.  It is playing games with numbers to say switch.  But, honestly, I would like to see a computer program that can simulate this run millions of times and see how the odds improve.  I am mostly just saying that the explanation for this that is intuitive is nothing I have seen or read about.  The problem is bothersome though because it is so counter-intuitive.
