  1. These people have been taking too many drugs. Like they say "it is what it is." The only argument I have found compelling that we are in a simulation is the quietness of the universe. If we are mediocre, then our planet is mediocre, meaning that most planets would have some kind of life on them, arising at roughing the same times and being somewhat similar. Why is the universe so quiet them? If we were a simulation, then simulating worlds that are not in our direct contact would be a waste. This makes sense to me, but truth is stranger than fiction so there is probably some really great reason that we do not see many many other planets, worlds and forms of life.
