@Vitapericolosa656 OK history expert, the US murdered the indigenous population and still abuse them. Then brought in slave labor from Africa and still abuse them today. Further allows pretty much as much immigration as the corporations think they need to push down American workers' demands - tell us how Russia is worse?

The fact is the West assured Russia that NATO would not move Eastward, and now the US is making like Ukraine is an actual country when it is an extremely corrupt and divided nation with ethnic Russians in the Southeast. Then there is the fact that this whole area might be comparable to the US and Cuba relative to defense and security, and Russia has huge investments in infrastructure in Crimea. With the exception that I am an American citizen and supposed to blindly agree with and follow the obviously propaganda, I think Russia has legitimate reasons to annex Crimea, but the local people ought to be able to decide. When has Russia been any more militaristic or belligerent than the US? Count the military actions the US has taken around the world since WWII? Does Russia have 800 bases around the world and corrupt governments all over the world in order to preferentially take their countries' wealth for global oligarchs in a military-industrial complex that burns up the world and impoverishes billions?

@mattgummerson8370 Isn't that the whole problem? It doesn't, and in fact it's turning America into something potentially worse than Russia or China. While the US turns their citizens into slaves to the point of denying them a living wage, healthcare, education and a political voice and ends up killing or effectively enslaving tens of millions, at least China is raising the living standards of its people, while it does deny them the questionable benefit of bickering and politicizing everything. Post-WWII America has brought the military-industrial complex to fruition where everything is under control of people not any brighter or more humane than any other totalitarian dictatorship.

@nunyabusiness863 I get your point, but to me learning math, science and computer science I see things in terms of computational order, and proportionality. I try to apply that logic to human and government behavior. The US had social security, and your argument sounds to me like - leave well enough alone, but not everyone got social security or Medicare. A great easy to read complete and simple reference about this is Thom Hartmann's The Secret History of Health Care. The US still has very powerful, and in many cases, as in the deep south, dominant factions that believe in and carry out eugenics in a hidden form.
