  1. The first question was so unimportant. Who cares if people are moving from state to state - and Fox News even got it wrong. More people are moving back to CA now that Covid is over and the economy is rebounding. Like Newsom said - CALIFORNIA DOMINATES. People just move to Florida to retire, and a lot of people recently retired early.

Seniors are stuck in older houses they cannot leave for fear their taxes will go up, which increases property values by taking inventory off the market which would otherwise be sold and upgraded. This is no scam, it is a reasonable effort to tax people who are abusing Prop 13 by not paying taxes on rental properties or vacation homes, and also business properties should be taxed at a higher rate.

More like you spend your days listening to right-wing BS on the radio and substitute that for knowing what is going on. IRS records show that people are coming back to CA - but again, in general, who cares if people come or go - that is what America is all about. People go to Florida because so far it has been a wonderful place for Americans to retire. It's not that nice any more. Florida is a polluted mess and very crowded and unequal. If you're rich, anywhere is OK to live, and it is not the rich or talented people who are moving, it is the people who cannot make it here in CA.
