I don't think "the people" gave Republicans this power - I think they took it by voter suppression schemes, cheating on the election end, and then also by media and social media as the second leg of the coup triad, and finally they either bribed or threatened enough Democrats to sit there and whine and complain, but ultimately to do nothing. Republicans have all their bases covered, and they would not be behaving this way if they thought there was any chance of them being overturned in an actual free and fair election in 2026 or 2028. I'd love for someone to prove me wrong, but so far from what I see, Greg Palast has the facts and the numbers.
