  1. Scalzi is a great science fiction writer, what an imagination and intellect.  Start with "Old Man's War!"  But he is not getting enough exercise apparently! ;-)    Hah, I just started reading "The Last Colony" this afternoon.

  2. Hence your name. I liked it a lot too, but mostly for the concepts in it ... it was well thought out and done in a kind of Heinleinian homagistic way that really appealed to me, and old SciFi fan from the 60's. It was a relied that interesting SciFi with something to say could still be done in the 21st century. When you look at how clunky some of the old tech SciFi is today it's kind of sad.
