I do agree that the sanctions are too much and they play well in the media, but this is going to be either very painful when the effect ripples through the economy, or very embarrassing when they have to be removed. This is looking to me like the kinds of moves that no on thought about that led to WWI. When the politics really does become war by other means the whole world pays for it and too much destabilization can easily get out of control.

  12. 5:03 - This is all about keeping Russia out of the world market - especially the EU market, because the US cannot compete any longer. So this Cold War, or any other thing has to be pushed to demonize Russia, to put sanctions on them, to isolate them. We see just how must puppets the world institutions like the US, IMF, WB are .... they are just weapons the US uses - at least to the enemies of the US. Russia starts to grow their economy and the US starts saber rattling with NATO in 2014 and overthrow's Ukraine's government ... which is about 1/3 of the Russian economy. American sends 20 billion in all kinds of aid including weapons and trainers and co-opts NAzi nationalist fighters to peel Ukraine away from Russia, and provoke Russia to react. And who pays for all of this stuff? The American people whose living standards is just getting worse and worse ... talk about oligarchs ... our American oligarchs are stealing everything not nailed down and the American people are just being manipulated and lied to.

  18. GG really loves the sound of his own voice. But, bravo, well said! What should have happened is PROACT ... not REACT. This was pushed by the US under the guise of freedom and NATO. But, yes, there was maximum propaganda - still is, and censoring, seems like it is because they have to get this over very fast before the lies and the real facts catch up to the public, like they always do, sometimes decades later. Don't we ever f-ing learn?

  19. Can't stand you George, but you have a point. Thanks for putting that bit of info out there. Can you, prove this thought? Put a link out there that ties money in the Pandora Papers to Zelensky? He can always leave and go anywhere if this turns sour for him, but his country and countrymen and countrywomen are stuck fighting Russians forever. And how I asked is a county that needs to rely on Neo-Nazis to defend itself really an actual country and not just alliances of convenience, and what would that look like assuming they could get rid of the Russians?
