  6. Ukraine really missed the boat. Ukraine could have been the intermediary country between Europe and Asia, between NATO and Russia and helped to bring peace and economic prosperity to all. The US wants to weaken Russia, but we aslo seem to want to weaken Europe as well because of Europe's broad democratic socialist economies. The US, or parts of our government, has turned into the followon to Germany's Nazism .... American plutocratic fascism. :-(

  7. I would guess that Russia will take a swath of Ukraine along the South to Odessa to cut Ukraine off from the sea. That makes Ukraine a state that will be very weak and valueless. That might be the only way that Russia can be secure from whatever the next attack from US/UK/NATO will be - because I think we all suspect that the US will not end the endless wars against Russia and China. It seems ridiculous, but I think the only hope is to move from the status quo pre-21st century to a new mode of equilibrium that joins the world together - like a world government - which would have to be socialist to take seriously the international charter on human rights. We have to wake up as a planet and get our sh* together. This war and idiocy, greed and slavery cannot continue if we want to survive, and the alternative of a super-rich elite slave planet is too horrible to consider.

  8. I agree with Ritter on a lot of things, but the EU is a good thing. Not having the EU would be like the US not having a Federal government, there would be chaos and rancor between the states .. even more than there is not. Ritter usually does not overplay his expertise, but here I respect his opinion, but I strongly disagree. Look at what leaving the EU has done for Britain. Things are better not falling apart.

  9. No one is a miracle worker in our BS government of today. Don't dump this on Bernie - if he pushes too hard he can lose his seat - which both the Republicans and Democrats would be happy to see. Bernie made them look bad - and the penalty for that is usually very steep. I am sick of former Bernie supporters turning into ignorant Bernie bashers.

I think there are a lot of Americans posing as regular people but who really work for "the system", like intelligence community and keep and eye over everything that happens all around the country. We have amazing computer facilitities and capabilities that if push comes to shove they will know just who to go out and put in stadiums and disappear, just like we trained the 3rd world to do to their people. I am paranoid about the government taking or already taken shape behind what used to be our government.

  13. I've seen web pages with maps of Ukraine going back centuries. I think it would be very instructive to folks for someone to collected these maps, verify them, and then present them as a way to understand what's been going on in Ukraine in history. What it looks like is that 200 years ago Ukraine was a small landlocked country in Europe and that over time they have grown to the largest country in Europe as well as the most corrupt. After WWII the US absorbed the German spy organization into the CIA, as well as many Nazi scientists. These German agents had much influence in the US intelligence community. I think Russia is correct to carve Ukraine up into pieces because they are obviously not a real country - for what real country goes to war against its own people? But, seeing the way Ukraine's borders have changed over time, like the 1950's grant of Crimea to Ukraine for administrative purposes by Krushchev. To put heavy emphasis on Crimea being Ukrainian is dishonest and militarily belligerent.

The problem is that his POV, correct as it may be, ignore the possibility that the whole world is always fighting for power, and that if the USA is not the major world's hegemonist, it will probably be Russia or China. I'd like to know what he says about that. I don't like what the US did in Ukraine or Russia, but what are Russia and China doing in the world? How are they any better than the US? How can the world organize itself in such a way that there are no world hegemonists?

All the vitriolic Jew hate Ritter has been sitting on as he talked about Ukraine for the last almost 2 years not, the boil has been lanced and it's all oozing out in the most hateful hope for Israeli genocide. He used to occasionally when talking about Ukraine burst into a half an hour of how he cheered the death of Ukrainians and America's failure. I could almost understand that, except for how delighted he seemed to be, but with Israel it's a whole new level of bull puckey. God what a hater. Hamas is the only side that has said for decades they aim to and mean to do genocide against the Jews and destroy Israel. And Israel doing what is obviously necessary to defend itself and going after Hamas to destroy them - thanks to Hamas Israel cannot do what without killing some civilians. That is not genocide. Warning people to leave buildings or areas is not deliberately killing civilians as Hamas supporters keep saying. By the way, Hamas gives out numbers of the killed - but they never mention there are Hamas dead in there as well, and how many. Can't listen to this guy any more, he is out of control and mentally unstable. Jeffrey Sachs is a better choice for background and opinion on both situations. Ritter is burned out

  23. When Israel declared statehood, immediately after, all the ancient Arab states as far away as Morocco went to war to destroy Israel. A war the Arab states lost in a humiliating defeat. The Arab states' solution was to refuse to accept the Arab refugees, and to trap them inside Israel with the premeditated understanding that their futures would be miserable & meaningless and they would be there forever to plaque Israel. Essentially these Arab states played and sacrificed the entire "Palestinian" population far into the future to be their re-conquest spearhead; first against Israel and the Jews, but then against the entire West in order to create the gulf between them and the West to keep their own societies in line and naive about the modern world. The Arab & Islamic states sent money and arms to Palestinian leaders corrupting them not to govern but to be terrorist generals of a barbaric 10th century religious cause, that has no place in the modern world, and deploy their citizens' lives as they saw fit. It's all played out from there over time. The history and evidence all fit. For example, in all the subsequent peace talks Palestinians show up, even get all their demands met and get Israel's and everyone's hopes up across the world, and then they just walk out, or do not come back. Check it, it's true. The root cause of the abuses of the Palestinians has all along been the dehumanizing result of eternal war and cold-bloodedness of the Arab States who have kept them imprisoned while modernity has progressed far beyond in the outside world, and old Arab leaders are still stuck on this ancient blood lust for conquest and hate. Essentially we have a lied-to, traumatized, broken population in need of help from the whole world who needs to understand. They just cannot be cured or helped inside of or as part of Israel.
