Why don't you people stick to the point. The tradition as explained was either not explained very well, or is just a bad idea. If it is a bad idea then try to change it, and if it won't change, and if it is so important to you - find a new place to work. Second, getting rid of campus police is presented here as having no reason behind it. Why would this place want to get rid of campus police, and again, you say your damages from this policy that you had to walk your girlfriend to here car? Nice that you would do that, and there are lots of places who do not have campus police or effective campus police. I would vote not to get rid of the campus police assuming they were effective at their job. So what is the big deal?
