It's how you measure things. Maybe if you measure by the number of people involved in tyranny and atrocity it's probably greater now that it has ever been too since there are just more so many more people. And it is worse because we know how to be worse because all of the information is known from so far back

Joe Rogan has the not-great habit of interrupting the expert's who has has one as a guest and then blabbering some theory of his own or a theory that he heard from the "everyone knows these memes" and then kind of pushing the guest to not be rude and agree with him. That is the a-hole part of Joe I don't like. And then he says humbly about being ashamed to call his show a podcast because he doesn't prepare or have to put any effort into it, which makes him seem like quite a decent chap. Just clam up Joe and let your guests tell us why they are your guests.

The argument that not all human tribes are living free has more to do with the invasion and taking of their land than is being mentioned here. Most of the tribes in African and South America would live in the forest and rich natural lands - but they have all been taken and destroyed leaving natives to either try to fit their labor into a place where they have pay rent and buy food just to live or to try to make it off the undesirable land left to them - which will eventually end up being stolen too.

That is the real metric, the real take-away fact, that when people lived with the native americans they enjoyed life and did not want to go back to white society, but when indians were taken to live in white society they wanted to get back to their tribes at all costs. What this says to me is that white society makes a great life for a few people at the top who have everything they want and can dump their crap on those under them, but the majority of americans were not happy, while Native American society was more flat and less authoritarian and militant. So ... what white people, not just white people, but many people have done is to choose to live in an authoritarian hierarchical society and allow it and support it to violent and expansionist, but they are not happy, Whereas the hunter gather lifestyle most people are happy and free ... and not only that, but they had warmer cleaner housing and more calories and better nutrition. Two books talk about this 1491, and 1493 by I think last name Mann.

Why is Joe's arguments always insisting - ahead of even letting his guest talk or asking his guest - in some way to defend the "white man" ... like in the case of the smallpox blankets. I think 5-10 years of experience any human would realize if well people come in contact with smallpox victims or the things they are around they tend to get smallpox. Why would they even be willing to give up blankets if they thought they were useable. The viciousness of most of the White Settlers towards the native Americans was Holocaust style - why defend it, or more accurately, why take it so personally?
