  1. The problem with what you've been laying out is that while as you say there are lots of good Democrats to choose from in a convention - all of them have some kind of poison pill. Be it Ukraine, or Israel, or Health Care, or Global Warming, will they appeal enough to get people out to vote against Trump? Some are black, and I don't think America would be so happy to vote for another black President that might not be as articulate or mainstream as Obama. And the Left who were not happy with Obama for screwing up Health Care would be whining and complaining. Then a Progressive like Gavin Newsom who I like, but face it has not done that much and as the one in 2000 and 2004 start marrying gay people and turning people off to the Democrats and help to get Bush elected. There is an argument for sticking with Biden, because when it comes down to it, those who will vote and can't stand Trump will be forced to vote for Biden - unless they vote nutty like RFKjr or Cornel West. Who knows? Will they take that risk?
