Be clear here, Hillary Clinton "suppressed the vote" as you call it, because social media operations targeted Bernie supporters day after say slamming both Hillary and Bernie and wearing down Democrats. There were the Bernie Bros, whatever that was all about, that were all over social media saying you cannot vote for Hillary because she cheated Bernie out of the nomination. And then there were the Clinton supporters with nothing but contempt for Bernie. Hillary would have pushed over the top if she had tried to get Bernie for VP, even if he refused. Clinton was only mildly better than Trump. Her debates were horrible. The videos that came out about her and all the allegations from Bill and of corruption that she did not field well, as well as her letting Trump dominate her like kitten in the debates.

@JRMCNEA A good half of the problem is the Democratic reply to this. It's great that Trump killed Suleimani, and sad that the Democratic responses have been so misguided. Because I think Trump did something that needed doing does not mean I accept Trump, or that I like Trump, or that I would ever vote for him. Only an idiot would think that because the Pentagon did a lot of work to find and craft an operation to take out Suleimani that Trump should somehow get credit for doing this. Certainly Trump did do it to distract from impeachment. Iran is certainly expansionist, as they claim Israel is and should be destroyed for it? Iran is a danger to the region and needs regime change. Iran was one of the main reasons the US has forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Leaving is a stupid idea.

The problem Democrats seem to constantly miss is that the Democratic Party is about supporting the status quo. Democratic Party is about maintaining the establishment ... Republicans mostly, and that is where their money comes from. If you want to have Bernie as President the Democratic Party must be taken over and purged of Republicans. I don't know if Bernie is really aggressive or politically ruthless enough to do that.
