How do you figure that? Those slogans are rallying points for Republicans to whine and complain that Democrats/Progressives are soft on crime and law and order. And it works every time. Same with a lot of fake Progressive issues that seem to exist merely to repulse people from taking them seriously. Why would you ignore that?

@4 Lights There Are well said. progressive need more smart and loud people in a a position to fire back quickly and widely - because Republicans now seem to be allowed before anyone else to define Progressives ... then Progressive have to catch up in a hostile media environment.

@fuck_it They seem pretty soft on crime? Maybe there are issues there that are not presented in your slanted right-wing media. Crime is up in all major cities because of the national situation. The SF DA is hated by police and like Newsom there is a segment of the media and population that just grinds out hate and criticism all day every day. I don't know what is going on there, but the crime in the City has been before for years. Worsening because of gentrification kicking people out of the places they grew up and they don't know where else to go or what to do. I just know the blind mindless attacks on Democrats don't help, just like the mindless attacks on ObamaCare with no suggestions for improvement and no alternate plan will not help with health care.

@britishrocklovingyank3491 I agree, in fact I think the Left sucks at it so bad that it cannot just be a coincidence. The same people finance the whole system, and they've threatened Democrats before with a withdrawal of funding if they go too far Left ... which really means the Left is in the pay of the Right, and the supposed opposition party is just a fake institution that sucks people's energy, time and money into a party that is paid to lose realistically.

Clyburn has a valid point. Progressive always seem to saddle Democrats with the worse images of the worst branded messaging, like Defund The Police. Is this a conscious plot by someone or just mass stupidity?

@charlesray9674 I could understand "demilitarize the police" ... that's good. Make it so! ;-) How did we get stuck and branded as virtually wanting to abolish police ... that is not true, in fact it is Libertarians who hate any kind of regulation or limitations .... at least on rich people.

@4 Lights There Are Honestly, I think more and more that somehow, using some new software technology, that what is being presented to us online is fake, and when these fake behaviors and ideas are presented as normal, people robotically accept the reality and just do the same thing they see others doing - just like children. It is like "Lord of the Flies" where behavior, thought, morality all just fly out the window when what is presented as average and the norm has no limits on it. All I see in the media, the news, even both sides is idiotic junk. There are several areas where the "repugnance" or the Right are matched on the Left, but the main thing is that this hostility and immaturity makes sure there is actually no social or political discussion and thus no compromise, not moving forward, and no democracy.

Killer Mike? Why is this guy whose only function, to me, seems to be to divide people and make Progressives scary and all about minorities - that is a big negative in terms of his mass impact. Personally and individually, I'm sure he is a great guy.
