  1. The problem is that our version of capitalism and deregulation and inequality/competitiveness pushed towards any center of trust as a place where advantage can be take. Business people find news ways to apply their lies, and lies only get traction when they are from places people trust. So, our system works towards destroying trust, and therefore eats itself. Seems like we should have seen this and understood it long, long ago, but we also seem determined to tear the country to pieces. Why? Why is America so self-destructive?

  3. You only have to look at the stories on the Washington Post that do not have comments section to tell what areas they are trying to push an agenda. OR, look at the stories where the comments sections are lying, name-calling, overwhelming, insulting or obnoxious, like the Washington Post's stories about the Ukraine war. We don't so anything about this because someone makes a lot of money off it and that money or influence or leverage distorts reality to the point where democracy is stifled or impossible.

At this point it is not enough to stop these abuses, or regulate these companies ... we have to realize that money itself has been corrupted and like land reform in corrupted countries in the past we need money reform - these ill-gotten gains that have grown and compounded must be taxed and clawed back if ever anything is going to change.
