  2. It's just mathematics ... Ukraine is eventually going to collapse militarily, it just cannot scale like Russia can, even with the NATO or US resupplying ... and this should have been, and probably was understood by the US/Ukraine and NATO. So, why did Ukraine kill off so many of its own people, send them packing into Europe, and allow their historic sites and infrastructure to be destroyed? That is all on Zelensky, which is exactly what I have been saying since the day this began, Zelensky is going to be a hated figure in Ukrainian history at some point in the not too distant future.

I agree with you ... but the US military is all about fighting in places and ways to develop new technology and to keep, or try to keep, our fighting men and women battle ready. You know that. That is just what the US has always done. Then we develop fancy military technology, and eventually spin it off into consumer products. What we have done in Ukraine is really ugly and immoral, and we ought not have done this ... it is so obvious.

  4. Love this guy. Ritter is a real treasure for the US at this time. He may not be right all the time, and he can go off the rails at times ( 4:35 ) but he sets up a framework to view this situation that makes a hell of a lot more sense than anything we are hearing from the media or the government, or Ukraine. He has done his homework, and has the experience to know what he is talking about. I'd love to hear Scott Ritter debate Joe Biden now!

  5. 9:20 - Putin did not just decide to invade Ukraine as a lark one day. As Scott Ritter has said, this has been in the planning for a long time, and Putin has been working the political angle on this for at least a decade. You ask what should the US do when Russia invades ... and the answer to that is - do something before Russia invades - in fact long before. But even shortly before Biden was on the news trying to stir up militaristic jingoistic anti-Russian lies and propaganda ... when if he really cared why didn't he try negotiating with Putin? Because this is what the US thought it/we wanted. Even Kissinger and other experts a decade ago said this NATO expansion would eventually lead to war. But - just keep the American people in the dark and feed them a diet of lies and war-mongering and we won't do anything ... for at least 20 years ... huh? That's what it was in Afghanistan. Meanwhile Americans are dying and going bankrupt for lack of healthcare, and they cannot afford to get education. And now gas and groceries are so expensive a lot of Americans cannot even afford to live. What kind of idiotic incompetent government do we have?
