So what you are really talking about is the invention, application and utilization of any technology, but "AI"/automation is simply a lot faster and more general purpose.

The people who draw up the orders, the people who do the programming, and the people who for whatever reason are "programmed" like machines by threats or rewards to serve the director on the top? or whomever can fake their credentials.
