Abusing protestors is not a big liability - they are few in number, marginal, and unsympathetc because people think they break windows whether they do or not. Bottom line is that there is no way to enforce democratic power, the people really have no voice, and these charades only begin to reveal what is already true. Budgets is an interesting point ... right now the marginal amount of big money is in the hands of "oppressors". But the budget can be privatized the next step. Feudalism.

And besides, what is the vision these protestors are fighting for? As bad as the configuration of the world is, no one knows enough of has enough information to criticize it or improve it. The big power as a monopoly on money and government and just puts up with the people as long as they have to. The only way is to starve the rich as they say they want to starve government - neither side should be overwhelmingly powerful. The rich & corps are too powerful, the people too uninformed.

@BoredomCorner Change is certainly necessary, but is this change or just pumping up adrenalin confronting the cops? Certainly some of the actions of the police are obivous and some are pushing it a bit much, but if you just want to go out and protest why all the games?
