So, assuming the big powers are not going to go to war, for all the reasons they say ... the shark and the elephant scenarios ... then why are we doing all this military spending and focus on war in the US? I think it has to be to keep the people down, and the current power structure in place ... it is a big fake, like our idea of democracy is. It keeps people working, it keeps people from complaining, it keeps people out of the political sphere, or at least a real democracy. It is used to scare our own people, not China ... China has its own people it wants to scare, and its own system to stabilize in its own way.
