  1. Where the heck can I see this series without having cable TV? Can I see it on streaming services anywhere, or even buy the DVDs? I already have read the book, but I'd like to see the video too.

FDR tried to save capitalism and democracy for the US by making government's role to control large corporations, break up monopolies and help citizens ... but I just think Americans were not up to the challenge. They tried to energize Americans with lofty ideals, movies, books, church, etc, but a heck of a lot of Americans are just lazy slugs, or mean SOBs and just do not really get the idea of democracy of what it takes to keep it. The Founders would be so revolted at today's America.

  3. Pretty cold-blooded quote from Harry Truman ... wow, what a different world. I can understand why they thought this though, America did not want to be attacked or drawn into Europe's problems again, after the horrible WWI experience.

  4. No, Hitler made a lot of mistakes. Attacking Russia and then having to defend the whole Atlantic coast as well as fighting the Russians in a winter they were used to but the Germans were not. Pure insanity ... lucky for everyone. Anything to destroy socialism, and keep the major elite power centers. This was probably all orchestrated just to keep the average people down.
