  1. 6:19 - Good point. The point Friedman is making is made well here. The US will not buy China's deep goods until there is a shared value system across business and politics. Look at China's building up its military and talking belligerently, the South China Sea, etc. To do what we have been doing with China has been stupid, but to take it forward would be dangerous and suicidal.

  4. 2:02 - China has actually done something for its people ... what has the USA done except for financial crisis after financial crisis where the rich, including overseas Chinese, get rich, and the American people get shit on. Friedman is not a good guy. Friedman cares only for the billionaires ... he buys all that stuff about trickle down, so he is not worth listening to, at least on this issue.

It is really super annoying how the announcers on these shows take over all the space, they go off-topic, tell stories, make fun of how people dress, and then talk slow and phrase the questions in the most lengthy way possible just to be in control. It is annoying as hell waiting for these people so they feel like they got their due by jerking everyone else around. Get rid of the announcers who do that.
